35. Learn to knit
I've concluded that knitting is for sissies. I'm only half kidding, but in all seriousness, I tried to knit a blanket for LP with disastrous results. I can do a basic stitch, but the main problem is that I had my mom show me her technique, and as awesome as she is at knitting, she does it mostly on muscle memory from childhood. When it came down to instructing me, she wasn't clear enough for my needs.
As a result, we both started baby blankets at roughly the same time, and while hers looks great and LP uses it to sleep in the summer, mine only amounted to the size of a baby scarf. I would love to just declare it a scarf and leave it at hat, but sadly I don't know how to finish a knitting project without it unraveling. I should have been more diligent when I was pregnant, because now with the baby I really don't have time to deal with yarn and needles that could do LP serious damage.
However, my list just said to "learn" to knit, not that I had to be successful at it. So, not quite done, but enough to check it off the list.
